Greetings, <p>I think I've installed everything by the book, but got following err. message with a "postmaster -i
"running<p><i>Error connecting database</i><br /><i>Connection to database failed</i><br /><i>connectDB() failed: Is
the</i><br/><i>postmaster running and</i><br /><i>accepting TCP/IP (with -i)</i><br /><i>connections at 'localhost'
on</i><br/><i>port '5432'?</i><p>what is going wrong here?? <br />please help with a rep. at gvanbeck@vt4.net <p>PS.

Did you check if any previous version of libpgtcl.so exists?

Before installing the new rpm's , delete ANY trace of old libraries!
